I was tasked to lead the news side of an in-house redesign of the print Tri-City Herald. The newspaper was transitioning to a narrower width and we knew this would be a good time to develop an improved type suite for readability and modernity. My role involved conducting an in-house focus group review and presenting the plan to all company departments. The project balanced the time-saving needs of the newsroom staff while emphasizing the best experience for the reader.
